BYU International Cinema to present outdoor movie June 15-16

Brigham Young University’s Courtyard International Cinema presents “Howl’s Moving Castle” at an outdoor movie event Friday and Saturday, June 15 and 16, beginning at 9:30 p.m. in the courtyard of the Joseph F. Smith Building.

Admission to the event is free, and refreshments will be provided. A limited number of chairs will be available, but there will be plenty of room for picnic-style seating.

“Howl’s Moving Castle” is an animated film directed by Hayao Miyazaki. It follows a young woman as she undergoes a strange transformation at the hands of a witch, and then embarks on an adventure in a magical conglomeration of scrap metal with the wizard Howl and an assortment of enchanted creatures.

The film is in Japanese with English subtitles. Its presentation is sponsored by BYU’s College of Humanities.
