An upcoming news release will provide more details

Brigham Young University alumni and friends around the world are invited to a Worldwide Alumni Gathering Friday, Nov. 7, from 7 to 8 p.m. in the historic Tabernacle on Temple Square in Salt Lake City.

Newly appointed BYU president Cecil O. Samuelson will be a featured speaker in an evening that will include musical selections from the much-honored Men's Chorus and other guest speakers.

Admission is free, but tickets are required and may be obtained at www.lds.org/events, at 1-866-537-8457 or at door four of the Conference Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Salt Lake City.

Alumni residing outside the Wasatch Front may see the event over the LDS Church satellite system. Many chapters are planning dinners, receptions and other activities in conjunction with the gathering.

The Alumni Gathering will not be broadcast live over the BYU-Television or BYU-Radio satellite networks.
