BYU hosts Orrin G. Hatch Distinguished Trial Lawyer Lecture Series Nov. 10-11

The J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University will host the Orrin G. Hatch Distinguished Trial Lawyer Lecture Series, which will feature nationally and internationally known trial attorneys, on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 10-11.

Lectures will be presented from 1 to 4 p.m. in 306 J. Reuben Clark Building on Friday and from 9 a.m. to noon in the Varsity Theater on Saturday. Admission is free for students. There will be a $100 fee for the public, with CLE credit available.

Topics such as “Why I’m a Trial Lawyer,” “Ethics,” “The Art of Direct/Cross Examination” and “The Art of Closing Argument” will be presented by guests lecturers, including Wilbur Colom, Felice Viti, Monroe McKay and Brett Tolman.

BYU’s space ace: Minor planet named in honor of Jani Radebaugh

BYU planetary geology professor Jani Radebaugh’s contributions to planetary science have reached cosmic proportions as she recently received the prestigious honor of having a minor planet named her. The asteroid, previously known as “45690,” now bears the name “45690janiradebaugh” on official NASA/JPL websites.
