BYU hosts Fall DanceSport Championships in Wilkinson Student Center Nov. 14-15

Brigham Young University will host the Fall 2008 BYU DanceSport Championships, featuring performances by Victor Fung and Anna Mikhed, U.S. representatives to the world and finalists in the British Open Championships, Friday and Saturday, Nov. 14-15, in the Wilkinson Student Center Ballroom.

General admission is $11 or $20 for both nights, reserved seats are $13 or $24 for both nights and table seats are $17 or $32 for both nights. Student tickets are available for $8. To purchase tickets, call the Fine Arts Ticket Office at (801) 422-4322 or visit byuarts.com.

Participants in BYU dance classes will compete throughout each day at the bronze, silver and gold levels. Dances will include the polka, waltz, cha-cha, foxtrot, tango and paso doble. Youth and nonstudents are also scheduled to compete.

The BYU DanceSport Championships have become one of the country's largest amateur ballroom dance competitions. Dancers in all skill levels are welcome to compete, offering a variety of dance levels for all ages, ranging from beginning to advanced.
