BYU hosts Computerized Genealogy Conference March 25-26

Brigham Young University's eighth annual Computerized Genealogy Conference has been scheduled for Friday and Saturday, March 25-26, in the BYU Conference Center.

This conference is designed to be a how-to guide for everyone, including all levels of researchers. Attendees will learn how advancements in computer programs have revolutionized and simplified genealogical and family history work.

Topics to be covered include running genealogy software, working with databases, emailing and finding useful tools on the Internet.

Vendors will be available throughout the conference to showcase their products and to introduce participants to the latest ideas in genealogical research.

More than 400 participants attended last year's conference.

The Computerized Genealogy Conference is sponsored by BYU Religious Education, the BYU History Department, the Center for Family History and Genealogy, the BYU Computer Science Department, the Latter-Day Saint Family History Library and BYU's Division of Continuing Education.
