BYU hosts 23rd Annual ACERC Conference Feb. 23-24

Focus on sustainable and renewable energy sources

The Department of Chemical Engineering at Brigham Young University will host energy and combustion experts from around the world as it convenes its 23rd Annual ACERC Conference Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 23-24, in the BYU Conference Center.

ACERC, the Advanced Combustion Engineering Research Center, is BYU’s internationally known, applied-energy research institution. Originally founded to study coal combustion, ACERC has evolved to focus more of its efforts on sustainable and renewable energy sources.

Industry experts from across the United States and several foreign countries will join with academic researchers from BYU to discuss the energy issues which are currently affecting society.

BYU faculty and students, both graduate and undergraduate, will present research findings, and 12 guest speakers will share their expertise with conference participants.

For more information, contact Carina Alleman at acerc@byu.edu or (801) 422-5162.
