BYU to host campuswide career fair Jan. 28

Brigham Young University will host a campuswide career fair Wednesday, Jan. 28, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Wilkinson Student Center Ballroom.

More than 90 employers from business, financial, engineering, construction, technical, government and non-profit sectors have registered to have booths at the fair.

Students from all majors and class years and from all colleges, departments and fields of study are encouraged to attend. BYU alumni are also invited.

In addition to career opportunities, internship information is also at the career fair, said Arnold Parrott, director of Career Placement Services.

Another opportunity available through the career fair is the chance for students with time left in school to begin networking with potential employers, Parrott said.

Career Placement Services advisers recommend that students carefully research all employers they plan to visit and have good questions ready to ask.

"Employers expect to see outstanding resumes, and your success will depend on your preparation and presention," Parrott said.

Details about the career fair, including dates, times of events, employer lists and information sessions, can be accessed through the eRecruiting student database on Route Y.

For more information, visit Career Placement Services in 2410 WSC or call (801) 378-3000.
