Brigham Young University’s week of Homecoming celebrations will begin with a Tuesday Homecoming Devotional and end with a Saturday football game against Air Force. Wedged between will be reunions, student noonday activities, lectures, dances, free food, contests, performances, a parade, Cougar Run, a free pancake breakfast, a tailgate party and True Blue Football.
Homecoming is scheduled Sept. 18-22.
This year’s Homecoming theme, “Come Full Circle,” is inspired by an episode in the life of Karl G. Maeser, the honored founder for Homecoming 2007.
“Brother Maeser’s story about maintaining one’s integrity within the boundaries of a personally drawn chalk circle resonates as much today as it did more than 100 years ago,” explains John C. Lewis, chairman of BYU’s Homecoming committee. “At Homecoming we honor several people who have come full circle professionally, personally and spiritually. And we hope BYU alumni everywhere will round their personal circles by returning to their alma mater for a great Homecoming week.”
