BYU filmmakers show their best at Final Cut Nov. 2-6

The Department of Theatre and Media Arts and the BYU Student Film Association will present Final Cut, the annual BYU Student Film Festival, Tuesday through Saturday, Nov.2-6, in the Varsity Theatre.

Films will be featured every night at 6 and 8 p.m. with Friday and Saturday night showing the "Best of Final Cut."

Tickets are $4 and $5 at the door. Tickets for the "Best of Final Cut" are $5 and $6 at the door.

The festival is designed to give the BYU community a chance to view the work of BYU media arts students. A wide variety of films are shown during the festival such as animations, commercials, documentaries and narratives.

In the past Final Cut has produced several award-winning short films, including 2002 Slamdance Festival winner "The Snell Show," 2004 student Emmy winner "Lemmings" and "Peluca" the predecessor of box office hit "Napoleon Dynamite."
