BYU Faculty Trio plans March 23 performance

The Brigham Young University School of Music presents a Faculty Trio concert Tuesday, March 23, at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Karl G. Maeser Building on the southwest corner of campus.

Admission is free and the public is welcome to attend.

The concert will feature Jeffrey Shumway on piano, Monte Belknap on violin and Julie Bevan Reed on cello.

“This is our first recital together,” Belknap said. “We’re planning on this being the first of many.”

The trio will play a classical and a romantic piece, Mozart's Piano Trio No. 3 in B flat and Dvorak's Piano Trio No. 3.

“These pieces are examples of music by composers in their prime, so it should be a wonderful concert,” Belknap said.

For more information on the concert, contact Monte Belknap at (801) 422-3328.
