BYU Facility and Property Management Student Association is nation's best

Brigham Young University’s Facility and Property Management Student Association was recently named Student Chapter of the Year by the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) for the seventh time in ten years.

In addition, seven students competed in IFMA’s World Workplace Conference and Expo in Atlanta at the end of October, winning four scholarships and several all-expenses-paid trips to next year’s IFMA in Kupfsteim, Austria. BYU students who received scholarships were Devon Cammack, Paul Gerritsen, Brad Hill and Chase Parry.

Cammack also won the ePoster Competition, an international undergraduate contest for students who have performed research during an internship or similar experience. He was awarded an additional $1,500 scholarship as well as a paid trip to next year’s conference.

IFMA is the largest facility management organization in the world. The Student Chapter of the Year Award is given to the university with the facility management program that best prepares students for working in the industry.
