BYU devotional Sept. 27 to feature psychology chair Mona Hopkins

Mona Hopkins, chair of Brigham Young University’s Department of Psychology, will speak at the campus devotional at 11:05 a.m. in the Marriott Center on Tuesday, Sept. 27.

Her talk will be titled “A Miracle in the Making: Finding the Meaning in Adversity.” The devotional will be broadcast live at KBYU-TV, BYU Television, KBYU-FM, BYU Radio and byubroadcasting.org. For rebroadcast and reprint information, visit byubroadcasting.org and speeches.byu.edu.

Hopkins received an associate degree from BYU and a bachelor’s degree from Westminster College. Her master’s and doctoral degrees are from the University of Utah. Her scholarship and ongoing research program assesses the effects of inadequate oxygen and blood supply to the brain.
