The BYU Department of Dance presents the Fall DanceWorks Concert Friday, Nov. 11, at 4 p.m. and 5:15 p.m., in the theater of the Richards Building.
The Fall DanceWorks Concert is sponsored by the BYU Children’s and Teens’ Creative Dance Program. The showcase, directed by Kathleen Sheffield, features works conceptualized, choreographed and performed by the children.
The participants in the concert are enrolled in the year-round BYU Children and Teens' Creative Dance Program. Participants receive training in dance technique that develops flexibility, coordination, strength, physical awareness and body control. Students will learn movement the basics of rhythm, participate in problem solving, create innovative compositions and develop excellent performance skills.
