BYU Dancesport Championships at Wilkinson Student Center Nov. 12-13

The Brigham Young University Dancesport Championships will be held Friday and Saturday, Nov. 12-13, in the Wilkinson Student Center.

A ticket for the event provides access to a whole day’s worth of performances. Tickets can be purchased at byuarts.com or through the Fine Arts Ticket Office, (801) 422-4322. Tickets range in price from $8 to $17.

The Dancesport event will feature more than 30 different divisions including American and international ballroom and even a country western division for preteens, juniors, amateurs and adults.

Guest artists Giampiero Giannico and Anna Mikhed, professional international dance competitors, will be showcased Friday and Saturday night.

“This is real reality TV,” said ballroom dance faculty member Claudia Hill. “People can come and watch some great dancing, pick their favorite couple and see if they can place them like the judges would.”

For a full schedule of events or more information, visit byudancesport.com or call the Ballroom Dance Office at (801) 422-4623.
