BYU Dancesport Championships Nov. 13-14 at Wilkinson Student Center

The Brigham Young University Dancesport Championships will be taking place Friday and Saturday, Nov. 13-14, in the Wilkinson Student Center Ballroom beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing throughout both days.

Tickets can be purchased through the Fine Arts Ticket Office at (801) 422-4322 or by visiting byuarts.com. General admission tickets are $11 for one day or $20 for both days. Reserved seating is $13 for one day or $24 for both days. Table seats cost $17 for one day or $32 for both days. BYU student tickets cost $8 with a student ID and can be purchased at the door.

The event will feature performances by BYU dance classes, school groups and amateur dancers and will include both youth and adult performers. All kinds of ballroom dance styles will be showcased, including Cha-Cha, Rumba, Quickstep, Polka and West Coast Swing.

Special guest artists for the event will be Eugene Katsevsman and Maria Manusova, U.S. Professional Latin Representatives to the World Championships. Katsevsman and Manusova have been dancing together since 1993 when they won their first competition within a month of joining forces. They are 11-time U.S. Amateur Latin Champions. After turning professional in 2008, the pair immediately broke into the finals of the British Open Championships.
