BYU Dancensemble presents original choreography Nov. 19-20

Dancensemble, a modern dance performing group comprised of student dancers and choreographers at Brigham Young University will present its annual fall concert Friday and Saturday, Nov. 19-20 at 7:30 p.m. in the Dance Studio Theatre, 122 Richards Building.

Tickets are $5. For tickets, call the Fine Arts Ticket Office at (801) 378-4322 or visit http://performances.byu.edu. Tickets will be also available at the door.

The theme for this year's concert is "Move On Go," highlighting the fact that dance is about movement.

Dancensemble is unique in the fact that students choreograph, direct and design their own costumes for their performances.

This year students choreographed a variety of pieces for the concert including a piece influenced by crazed accordion music, a piece merging folk and modern dance and another piece inspired by the scientific equation for photosynthesis.

Dancensemble provides an excellent outlet for dancers both majoring in dance and other fields. It helps dancers develop experience in choreography, directing and working with others in a production setting.

For more information contact Pat Debenham at (801) 422-3340 or Aja Graves at (801) 358-2200.
