BYU Cougarettes to present annual concerts Feb. 19-21

The Brigham Young University Cougarettes will present their annual concerts Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 19-21, at 7:30 p.m. with a matinee performance on Saturday at 2 p.m. The concert will be at the Covey Center for the Arts in Provo.

Tickets can be obtained online at www.coveycenter.org, by calling (801) 852-7007 or at the center at 425 W. Center Street in Provo.

The concert will feature work by Hip hop choreographers Tabitha and Napoleon Dumo. "Tabitha and Napoleon are two of the hottest choreographers today, and their work can be seen on popular reality dance shows such as 'So You Think You Can Dance,' 'America’s Best Dance Crew' and 'Rock the Reception,'" said director Jodi Maxfield.

Other works by Lisa Holtz Odell, Krissie Edwards and Janalyn Memmot will also be featured.

The BYU ensemble is the seven-time National College Dance Team Champions.

BYU’s space ace: Minor planet named in honor of Jani Radebaugh

BYU planetary geology professor Jani Radebaugh’s contributions to planetary science have reached cosmic proportions as she recently received the prestigious honor of having a minor planet named her. The asteroid, previously known as “45690,” now bears the name “45690janiradebaugh” on official NASA/JPL websites.
