BYU Cougarettes in Concert Feb. 23-25 at Provo's Covey Center

The Brigham Young Cougarettes will perform in concert Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 23-25, at 7:30 p.m. at the Covey Center for the Arts at 425 Center Street in Provo.

Tickets are available at $15 for the general public and $12 for students and seniors at the Covey Center Box Office by calling 801-825-7007 or visiting coveycenter.org.

The Cougarettes are the reigning 2011 College Dance Team National Hip Hop Champions and hold nine total National College Dance Team titles dating back to 1997.

The performances will provide an opportunity for the Cougarettes to demonstrate their versatility in varied genres of dance. This highly disciplined dance team has worked with some of the countries most exciting choreographers during the past year, including Jaci Royal, Patrice Barakat Corral, Natalie Reid and Shandon Kolberg, each of whom will be featured during the concert. 

The concert will feature something for everyone, including jazz, contemporary, lyrical, Broadway and hip hop, according to Jodi Maxfield, BYU spirit coordinator and Cougarette artistic director.
