BYU Conference on Family Life scheduled for March 28

Combines Family Expo and Families Under Fire conferences

Thisyear's Brigham Young University Conference on Family Life will be held Friday,March 28, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the BYU Conference Center located on 770 E.University Parkway.

TheSchool of Family Life and the Division of Continuing Education are combiningtwo family conferences — Family Expo and Families Under Fire— into one called “The BYUConference on Family Life: Strengthening Families in a Troubled World.” Inspirationaland academic speakers at the conference will describe ways to strengthenfamilies, teach parents how to raise a righteous posterity and help prevent theproblems that arise in modern family life.

Fees are $60 for individual registration,$100 for married couple registration (call 801-422-8925 to register) and $15for Signature Card registration for the BYU campus community if purchased byMarch 21.

Those who are unable to attend theconference may purchase a syllabus (paper or PDF format) from the conferencefor $15. The syllabus is included in the conference fee for those who areattending.

The conference is sponsored by the Schoolof Family Life, the Alumni Association and the Division of ContinuingEducation.

Green-thumb dynasty: BYU landscaping wins fifth national championship in six years

For the fifth time in six years, BYU students dug, pruned and planted their way to the National Collegiate Landscaping Competition title, the March Madness of college landscaping teams. BYU bested 50 other universities in the four-day event, outscoring the second-place finisher by more than 358 points and breaking the 5000-point total for the first time in the 48-year history of the tournament.
