BYU College of Nursing plans Homecoming service project Oct. 11

Brigham Young University’s College of Nursing Alumni Board will host a Homecoming 2008 service project to prepare newborn baby kits for local mothers in need Saturday, Oct. 11, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Nursing Learning Center, 130 Spencer W. Kimball Tower.

“Third world countries aren’t the only ones who have need of newborn kits,” said Rose Ann Jarrett of the College of Nursing. “Many mothers in Utah arrive at the hospital without the basic necessities for their baby.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the College of Nursing patient simulation labs and see how simulators are changing modern nursing education.

Anyone may attend. For more information, contact College of Nursing Alumni Board President JoAnne Edwards at (925) 202-1311 or joanneedwards@comcast.net.
