BYU Chamber Orchestra to preview tour repertoire March 19

The Brigham Young University School of Music presents the Chamber Orchestra in concert Friday, March 19, at 7:30 p.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall.

Tickets at $9 and $3 off with BYU or student ID are available through the Fine Arts Ticket Office, (801) 378-4322 or at www.byu.edu/hfac.

The most select orchestra in the School of Music, the Chamber Orchestra is preparing for their international tour in May. The concert will feature repertoire readied for that event.

“The Chamber Orchestra only appears in their tour years, so this every-other-year opportunity is a concert not to miss,” conductor Kory Katseanes said. “Come help send the BYU Chamber Orchestra off in style.”

The concert will feature the Overture to "A Midsummer Night’s Dream" by Mendelssohn, Milhaud's "Le Boef sur le Toit," Dvorak’s colorful Czech Suite, and the exciting Pulcinella Suite by Igor Stravinsky.

For more information, contact Kory Katseanes at (801) 422-3331.
