BYU Career Placement Services hosts Teacher Fair Feb. 23

Brigham Young University’s Career Placement Services will host the third annual Teacher Fair Thursday, Feb. 23, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Wilkinson Student Center Ballroom.

Admission is free and all interested students are invited to attend.

More than 70 school districts from 14 states have registered to attend the event and visit with students. Districts will consider candidates for positions such as clinicians, counselors and administrators as well as classroom teachers.

“Many students get job offers directly as a consequence of the fair,” said Arnold Parrott, director of Career Placement Services. “This is serious business for school district recruiters, and they find that BYU produces some of the best teachers available.”

Lisa Christensen, chair from Career Placement Services, said students attending the fair should conduct in-depth research, dress professionally, bring resumes and prepare for interviews.
