BYU Bookstore plans party for new Harry Potter release

The BYU Bookstore will host a book release party for the seventh and final Harry Potter book, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” on July 20. Doors will open at 10 p.m. and books will be released at 12:01 a.m.

Harry Potter fans of all ages are invited to come dressed as their favorite character in order to participate in the costume contest. A life-sized Hagrid will be available for photographs, along with the Sorting Hat.

Attendees may also participate in magic lessons and wand making, and they will receive a personalized book name plate. The festivities will conclude with the distribution of the much-anticipated new book.
