"BYU Blast!" will showcase top ensembles Oct. 6

A variety of award-winning Brigham Young University performing groups will present their best work at “BYU Blast!” on Friday, Oct. 6, at 7:30 p.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall.

Tickets are available for $9 or $6 with a BYU or student ID and can be purchased at the Fine Arts Ticket Office, by calling (801) 422-7664 or by visiting performances.byu.edu.

The Cougar Marching Band Drumline, Men’s Chorus, Orpheus Winds, Tuba Ensemble and Trombone Choir, among others, will highlight the first half of the concert.

Following an intermission, the Wind Symphony, Vocal Point, Philharmonic Orchestra, Deseret Piano Trio and others will showcase a series of numbers. The evening will conclude with an opera scene from “Die Fledermaus.”
