BYU announces tuition increase for 2008-2009 academic year

Brigham Young University announced that it will raise undergraduate tuition 6.3 percent for the 2008-2009 academic year, bringing the undergraduate rate per semester to $2,040, up $120 from last year's tuition of $1,920.

Graduate tuition will increase by 6.2 percent. General graduate students will pay $2,580 per semester, up $150, while students at the J. Reuben Clark Law School and graduate students at the Marriott School of Management will pay $4,620, up $270 over last year.

Spring and summer term tuition for undergraduate students will be $1,020, an increase of $60, and general graduate students will pay $1,290, an increase of $75.

As in the past, students who are not members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will pay two times the listed rates.
