BYU Alumni webinar Dec. 15 to feature best-selling author Joseph Grenny

Brigham Young University alumni and friends are invited to a free webinar Wednesday, Dec. 15, from 1 to 2 p.m. (MST) featuring acclaimed business strategy expert and bestselling author Joseph Grenny.

Grenny will discuss how a new approach to personal success can help individuals overcome years of failed change efforts to achieve long-anticipated goals such as getting a promotion, losing weight, increasing sales, overcoming an addiction and more.

Co-founder of VitalSmarts and three-time New York Times bestselling author, Grenny will discuss the research he and his coauthors conducted while writing their upcoming book, “Change Anything: The New Science of Personal Success,” scheduled for release April 2011.

He and his co-authors combined 50 years of the best social science research with their personal study of 5,000 people attempting to overcome intrepid personal challenges such as getting out of debt, losing weight, revamping a sluggish career or saving a struggling relationship. They learned that the select few who achieved their goals used the same best practices and influence strategies — strategies from which the authors distilled a new science of personal change.

Grenny has advised thousands of leaders on every major continent.  He has co-authored three New York Times bestselling books including “Crucial Conversations,” “Crucial Confrontations” and “Influencer,” and he is a regular columnist on BusinessWeek.com. He has also appeared on the Today show, Fox & Friends, CNN, ABC News, and CNBC, as well as in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, USA Today, and Los Angeles Times.

Alumni with Internet access can follow the webcast on UStream.tv and submit questions using Twitter and Facebook.  This webinar provides BYU alumni with another lifelong learning and enrichment opportunity.
