BYU Alumni webinar April 29 to feature business-relationship expert Jeff Rust

Brigham Young University alumni and friends are invited to a free webinar Friday, April 29, from noon to 12:30 p.m. MST, featuring acclaimed business-relationship expert and BYU alumnus Jeff Rust.

Rust will give an 18-minute motivational presentation about why it is important to stay connected and how to do it effectively. A question-and-answer session will follow the event.

He has advised hundreds of leaders in Utah and around the globe. He is president of Corporate Alliance, a company that works to manage relationships between companies, their stakeholders and their clients.

BYU research: Mega wildfires can actually be a good thing

BYU professor Sam St. Clair is the principal investigator on the first study to show positive impacts of megafires (fires greater than 100,000 acres) across different forest types. Megafires can help some forest communities thrive — especially in areas where chronic browsing by elk, deer, and livestock has hindered tree regeneration, a widespread issue that often leads to forest regeneration failure.
