BYU Academic Publishing receives Excellence in Entrepreneurship Award

The Independent College Bookstore Association recently honored BYU Academic Publishing with its Excellence in Entrepreneurship Award.

Each year ICBA collects information from member stores to determine sales trends, top performers and best practices. “Excellence in Entrepreneurship” is an award given when a member store successfully launches a new program or service that the ICBA board feels should be recognized as a “best practice.”

“It is always an honor to be recognized by one’s colleagues in the college bookstore industry,” said Jennifer Berry, Academic Publishing manager. “Our Academic Publishing program helps continue the BYU Bookstore’s reputation as an industry leader. We could not have been in a position to receive this award were it not for the support our department receives from Bookstore leadership, Student Auxiliary Services and the BYU administration.”

BYU Academic Publishing offers typesetting and design services for custom textbooks. All work is done on campus utilizing partnerships with students, faculty and other campus departments. The result is a high-quality textbook significantly lower in price than textbooks from national publishers, said Berry.
