Brother Larry Gibson to be March 11 devotional speaker, President Henry B. Eyring to attend

Brother Larry M. Gibson, First Counselor in the Young Men Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will speak at the Brigham Young University devotional, Tuesday, March 11, at 11:05 a.m. in the Marriott Center.

President Henry B. Eyring, first counselor in the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will share the podium with Brother Gibson.

The devotional will be broadcast live on the BYU Broadcasting channels and online at byutv.org. Rebroadcast and archive information will be available at byutv.org or speeches.byu.edu.

Brother Gibson was serving as stake president at the time he was called to the Young Men general presidency in 2009. Prior Church service includes serving in a stake presidency, as a high councilor, bishop, ward Young Men president and stake Young Men president. He also served in the British South Mission from 1966 to 1968.

Brother Gibson received his bachelor's and master’s degrees in computer science and information science from BYU. His professional career has spanned both corporate and entrepreneurial organizations as he has started several technology companies and most recently worked as senior executive vice president and CTO/CIO of a Fortune 100 corporation in the healthcare industry.
