Blackboard to undergo scheduled maintenance April 22-23

April 14, 2004

Blackboard will undergo a scheduled outage for maintenance during the break between winter semester and spring term. The system will be unavailable from 9 p.m. Thursday, April 22, until midnight Friday, April 23. This outage has been scheduled to coincide with Commencement. Once maintenance is completed, instructors will still have a few days to finish preparing winter semester grades prior to the submission deadline, April 28 at noon.

BYU’s Compliant Mechanisms Research lab, inspired by the ancient art of origami, is building a foldable, compact design that could help launch satellite systems to space in a rocket. After five years of research, a team led by professors Larry Howell and Spencer Magleby has succeeded in creating foldable antenna systems than can deploy off space rockets and permanently open to enhance satellite systems.
