Birthing options subject of BYU symposium March 13

Brigham Young University Women’s Services and Resources will host a symposium about different birthing methods for expectant and future mothers, “Birthing Options: It’s Your Choice,” Friday, March 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in 5519 Wilkinson Student Center.

The symposium is open to the public. It will include informational materials and feature a question-and-answer session following each speaker. Refreshments will be served.

Featured speakers include a midwife, labor delivery nurse, lactation specialist and OBGYNs. Stephanie Fugal, a BYU public health professor, will share her own pregnancy experiences. Discussion topics include options for pain management, breastfeeding and different locations and methods for birth.

BYU landscaping students dig their way to 10th national championship

BYU’s landscaping team is the best in the field, literally. While most national championships are won on the court or the gridiron, this one was claimed with pruned shrubs, expertly placed pavers, and top-tier irrigation systems.
