"The Best Years of Our Lives" screening May 28 celebrates Memorial Day

The classic 1946 film “The Best Years of Our Lives” will be shown Friday, May 28, at 7 p.m. in the Harold B. Lee Library Auditorium at Brigham Young University. The film is being shown as part of the BYU Motion Picture Archive Film Series annual Memorial Day Tribute.

Admission is free, and the doors will open for seating at 6:30 p.m. Children ages 8 and older are welcome to attend.

“The Best Years of Our Lives” is about three WWII veterans who are adjusting to their civilian lives. The film stars Myrna Loy, Fredric March, Dana Andrews, Teresa Wright and Virginia Mayo. The film also won nine Academy Awards including best picture, director, screenplay and musical score.
