Brigham Young University will host a guest speaker from the Catholic University in Belgium for an Area Focus Lecture Monday, April 11, at noon in 238 Herald R. Clark Building.
Rudi Visker, a professor of contemporary philosophy at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, will present "Minor Differences: Europe between Freud and Lacan."
Visker's research interests are ethical engagement, human longing and French phenomenology and psychoanalysis.
He is the editor of Tijdschrift voor filosofie, the premier Dutch-language journal of philosophy which is published in Dutch, English and German.
