Bean Life Science Museum offers Saturday Safari classes in February, March

The Monte L. Bean Life Science Museum at Brigham Young University will kick off the new Saturday Safari season for children by exploring the animals and culture of Mexico Saturday, Jan. 29, at 9:30 a.m.

All children in the community ages 5 to 10 are invited to attend Saturday Safari classes during February and March. Registration at $8 per child per class must be made one week in advance to each class. Parents must also sign a release form at the time of registration.

The following is the list of classes for this season:

  • Jan. 29 - "Mexican Fiesta"

  • Feb. 5 - "Angry Animals"

  • Feb. 12 - "Valentine Day Safari"

  • Feb. 19 - "Animal Builders"

  • Feb. 26 - "Big Bugs"

  • March 5 - "Animal Appetites

  • March 12 - "Prehistoric Animals"

  • March 19 - "Animals of India" The Monte L. Bean Life Museum opened to the public in 1978 and is accredited by the American Association of Museums. It is located southeast of the Marriott Center on the BYU campus. For information or questions, please visit mlbean.byu.edu or call (801) 422-5051.
