Bachauer winner Arthur Greene to give free piano recital at BYU Feb. 14

Brigham Young University’s School of Music presents internationally known pianist Arthur Greene in a guest piano recital Tuesday, Feb. 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the Madsen Recital Hall.

Admission is free.

Winner of the 1978 Bachauer International Piano Competition at BYU, Greene has entertained audiences around the world. He performed at the Chopin Festival at Marianske Lazne and recorded the Complete Etudes of Alexander Scriabin for Supraphon.

Greene has appeared as a soloist with the Utah Symphony, the National Symphony, the Czech National Symphony and the Tokyo Symphony.

He studied with Dorothy Eustis and Martin Canin at the Juilliard School. He is the chair of the Piano Department at the University of Michigan School of Music in Ann Arbor.
