From Babylon to Jerusalem topic of BYU devotional

Arnold Green, professor in the History Department at Brigham Young University, will speak Tuesday, July 5, at 11:05 a.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall for the campus devotional.

His topic is "Discernment for Journeying through Babylon to Athens and Jerusalem." Live broadcasts will be available on KBYU-TV (Channel 11), BYU-Television, KBYU-FM (89.1), BYU-Radio and byubroadcasting.org, as well as in the Joseph Smith Building auditorium and the Varsity Theatre in the Wilkinson Student Center. A rebroadcast schedule and other information are available at www.byubroadcasting.org.

Green has taught at the University of Miami, the American University in Cairo and at BYU. He is the author of four books and more than three dozen articles. Green received two Fulbright and two SSRC research grants and was given teaching awards at the American University in Cairo and at BYU.

He received bachelor's and master's degrees from BYU and a doctorate from UCLA.
