"Art and Adventure of History" will be BYU forum topic July 17

Jenny Pulsipher, professor in Brigham Young University’s Department of History, will speak on “Indiana Jones in the Archive: The Art and Adventure of History” at a forum assembly on Tuesday, July 17, at 11:05 a.m. in the Joseph Smith Building Auditorium.

The forum will be broadcast live on the BYU Broadcasting channels. For rebroadcast information, visit byubroadcasting.org.

Pulsipher has published articles in the journals “William and Mary Quarterly,” “The Massachusetts Historical Review” and “Early American Literature.” In addition, her first book, “Subjects unto the Same King: Indians, English and the Contest of Authority in Colonial New England,” was released last year.

She received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from BYU in English and American studies, respectively, and her doctorate in American history from Brandeis University. Pulsipher joined BYU’s faculty in 1998.
