Annual Traditions Ball celebrates BYU alumni March 26

The Brigham Young University Student Alumni Association is inviting alumni, students and friends of BYU to an evening of music and dancing at the annual Traditions Ball Saturday, March 26, from 8 to 11 p.m. in the Gordon B. Hinckley Alumni and Visitors Center.

Tickets are available online for $15 per person and $25 per couple at alumni.byu.edu/traditionsball2011. Tickets will be mailed out, and there will be no refunds. This is a formal “blue tie” event. Suits and dresses to tuxedos and gowns are recommended.

The night’s entertainment will feature the Ray Smith Orchestra, local musicians The Brocks, Piso Mojado a cappella group, Cosmo the Cougar and more. The event will also include complimentary photos, dance instruction and hors d’oeuvres.

“One great thing the Traditions Ball does is bring together students and alumni at one event,” said Nicole Sofe, vice president of communications for the BYU Student Alumni Association. “Students can be inspired when they meet alumni and build relationships that can last outside of the university walls.”

“[The Traditions Ball] is just a lot of fun,” she said. “It’s going to be a great way to celebrate another successful school year.”

To buy tickets and for more information, visit http://alumni.byu.edu/traditionsball2011 or contact the Student Alumni Association at (801) 422-8659 or e-mail alumni-email@byu.edu.
