All welcome at this year's Honors Program Faculty Workshop May 3-4

All BYU faculty members are welcome to attend the 2012 Honors Program Faculty Workshop in the Karl G. Maeser Building Thursday and Friday, May 3-4.

"Whether you are a teacher of Honors, a supporter of the Honors Program or simply someone interested in becoming involved in the Honors Program, you are warmly invited to participate," said Honors Program Director Rory Scanlon. "We also invite you to bring along another colleague — or two — who may also be interested in learning more about the Honors Program."

Participants will be able to meet new Honors Program Director Joseph Parry, learn how to propose and teach Honors and H courses, receive tips on thesis advising and share their own ideas.

Registration information and a detailed schedule are available at byu.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_0H7bb9KZUjATMzi. Participants can register for either day or both days. Please register by Friday, April 27. The workshop will begin with a keynote welcome at 9:30 a.m. Lunch and an opportunity to mingle will be provided at noon followed by an afternoon session and ending with dessert at 1:30 p.m.

"If you have ever wanted to learn more about teaching or participating in the Honors Program, this is your opportunity," said Scanlon. "We would love to share with you the benefits of working with Honors students."

For more information, contact the Honors Program Office at ext. 2-2-5226.
