Accountancy professor Jeff Wilks speaks at BYU devotional Sept. 25

Jeff Wilks, a professor of accountancy in the Marriott School of Management, will speak Tuesday, Sept. 25, at 11:05 a.m. in the Marriott Center for a Brigham Young University campus devotional.

The devotional will be broadcast live on the BYU Broadcasting channels and online at byutv.org. Rebroadcast and archive information will be available at byub.org/devotionals or speeches.byu.edu.

Wilks previously worked as a project manager in revenue recognition at the Financial Accounting Standards Board from 2006 to 2008 and as an academic adviser at the International Accounting Standards Board from 2008 to 2009. He received the 2011 Marriott School Outstanding Teaching Award at the BYU Marriot School in 2011.

Wilks earned his bachelor's degree in accounting at BYU in 1995 and his master’s degree and doctorate in the same field from Cornell University in 1999 and 2000.
