It's a writing camp with an artistic twist.

This summer, students entering grades 5–9 can discover art not by paintbrush but by pen at the BYU Writing Camp, Exploring Art Through Writing, on August 4–8, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in the Wilkinson Student Center (WSC) on BYU campus. Tuition for the five-day camp is $160.

Using writing and basic sketching as methods of discovery, students will explore the nature, history and beauty of traditional and modern art. The camp's tuition covers instruction, art and writing materials, a T-shirt and snacks.

Additional activities include a guest author visit, a walk-and-write activity and a publishing party.

BYU Writing Camps are sponsored by Brigham Young University’s College of Humanities and Division of Continuing Education. For more information and to register: http://ce.byu.edu/cw/writing/artThroughWriting.php
