16th annual Russell B. Clark Gerontology Health Conference at BYU March 13

Conference, lunch, glaucoma testing all free

Brigham Young University will host the 16th annual Russell B. Clark Gerontology Health Conference Monday, March 13, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the BYU Conference Center.

Admission is free and anyone interested in aging or gerontology is invited to attend. The conference will also provide a free lunch and free glaucoma testing during the day. Free parking is available at the Conference Center, located northeast of the Marriott Center on the BYU campus.

With the theme of “Generations Working Together,” the conference will feature keynote speaker David Sundwall, executive director of the Utah State Health Department. Sundwall received his medical degree from the University of Utah and completed a four-year residency at Harvard University. He has also published several articles in peer-reviewed medical journals.

Other presenters include Dirk Noyes, a world-renowned cancer surgeon; Jason Buck, a motivational speaker and former NFL player who was inducted into the 1986 NFL Hall of Fame; and other professionals in medicine and law.

The conference will begin with musical performances by Pat Davis, Jenny Bennett and Kelly Eisenhour, as well as an appearance by the conference namesake, 105-year-old physician Russell B. Clark.
