Every Tuesday at 11:05 a.m., students, faculty, staff and the greater BYU community attend the weekly devotional or forum address. Unless specifically marked below, the devotionals and forums will be held in the BYU Marriott Center.
Most devotionals and forums will be broadcast live on BYUtv, BYUtv.org (and archived for on-demand streaming) and BYUradio and will be archived on speeches.byu.edu.
Please plan to join students and employees each Tuesday at 11:05 a.m. for a truly unique experience as the campus gathers to receive spiritual and temporal edification.

About the Fall 2026 Speakers
Elder Neil L. Andersen
September 15, Devotional
Elder Neil L. Andersen was named an Apostle of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 4, 2009. Elder Andersen was serving as the senior member of the Presidency of the Seventy prior to his calling to the Quorum of the Twelve. He was named a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy in April 1993, at age 41. He previously led the work of the Church in southern Brazil and, again as a member of an area presidency, oversaw the Church in Western Europe. Prior to his call as a General Authority, Elder Andersen served as a mission president in the France Bordeaux Mission and as president of the Tampa Florida Stake.
He graduated from BYU, where he was a Hinckley Scholar, and he earned a Master of Business Administration from Harvard University.
Elder Alexander Dushku
September 22, Devotional
Elder Alexander Dushku was called as a General Authority Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on August 15, 2023. At the time of his call, he had been serving as a stake president.
Elder Dushku received a bachelor of arts degree in economics from BYU in 1990 and a juris doctor degree from BYU Law School in 1993. He has worked as an attorney for Kirton McConkie since 1996.
Ross Douthat
September 29, Forum
Ross G. Douthat is an American author, journalist, and television correspondent for CBS News' 60 Minutes. He previously spent 17 years as an opinion columnist for The New York Times, joining the publication in 2009 as its youngest regular op-ed writer. Before his tenure at The Times, he served as a senior editor at The Atlantic.
Throughout his career, Douthat has written extensively on topics including politics, religion and culture. He is the author of multiple books and the host of the podcast "Interesting Times." Douthat graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in history.
Rebekka Matheson
October 13, Devotional
Rebekka Matheson is an associate professor and course director for the Brain, Behavior, and Movement course in the Department of Preparatory Learning at the BYU School of Medicine. She also serves as the chair of the faculty council of the faculty senate for the School of Medicine. On main campus, she serves as the associate director of the Neuroscience Center in the College of Life Sciences, and continues to teach classes for the Neuroscience Center every fall. She co-directs the Neuroscience in Europe International Study Program in spring terms.
Matheson graduated from the Neuroscience Center at BYU and then went to medical school at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, where her clinical and research work emphasized neurology and addiction medicine. While in Rochester, she completed additional graduate coursework in neuropharmacology and physiology. She currently serves in the Relief Society presidency for the Utah State Hospital branch.
Bishop L. Todd Budge
October 20, Devotional
Bishop L. Todd Budge was named First Counselor in the Presiding Bishopric on November 14, 2025. Bishop Budge was sustained as a General Authority Seventy on April 6, 2019, and served in that capacity until his call as Second Counselor in the Presiding Bishopric in October 2020. Bishop Budge has served in a number of Church callings, including stake president, president of the Japan Tokyo Mission, and Area Seventy.
Bishop Budge received a bachelor of arts degree in economics from BYU in 1984. He worked for Bain & Company Japan; Citibank, N.A.; and GE Capital in both Atlanta and Japan. In 2003 he became president and chief executive officer of Tokyo Star Bank Limited; from 2008 to 2011 he served as chairman of the board. He retired from the bank in 2011. During this time, he also served as a member of the board of directors for Hawaiian Airlines.
Elder Ronald A. Rasband

Elder Ronald A. Rasband was called to the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles on October 3, 2015, after serving as a member of the Presidency of the Seventy since 2005. He has served as a counselor in the Europe Central Area Presidency, president of the Utah Salt Lake City Area, executive director of the Temple Department; and has supervised the North America West, Northwest and three Utah areas as a member of the Presidency of the Seventy.
Elder Rasband attended the University of Utah. In 1987, he was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer of Huntsman Chemical Corporation. When he left Huntsman Chemical Corporation in 1996 to serve as a mission president in New York, he was also serving as a member of the Board of Directors.
Audrey Perry Martin

Audrey Perry Martin was appointed assistant to the president for University Communications on June 1, 2025. In this role, she acts as the university’s primary spokesperson and directs the work of BYU University Communications. Perry Martin earned a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center and a bachelor’s degree in political science and journalism from BYU.
Prior to her current role, Perry Martin was a partner at Lex Politica, a national political law firm. Her practice focused on advising corporations, candidates, political committees and parties on campaign and election law issues. Additionally, she worked as counsel for the Committee on House Administration and at the Federal Election Commission.
Elder Joni L. Koch
November 10, Devotional
Elder Joni L. Koch was sustained as a General Authority Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 1, 2017. At the time of his call, he had been serving as president of the Mozambique Maputo Mission. He previously served as Second Counselor in the Africa Southeast Area Presidency and President of the Brazil Area. He currently serves in the United States Northeast Area.
Elder Koch received a Bachelor of Science degree in statistics from BYU in 1991. He received an executive MBA from FGV/SP in 1994. During his career he has worked in senior management positions at Cargill Foods, AP Moller Maersk Group, and was the CEO of CM Ltd. at the time of his call as mission president.
President Timothy L. Farnes
December 1, Devotional
President Timothy L. Farnes was sustained as Young Men General President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 5, 2025. His past Church assignments have included Area Seventy, president of the Brazil São Paulo North Mission and stake president.
President Farnes studied economics at BYU and later founded multiple companies in several industries, as well as a humanitarian nonprofit doing work in Ghana, Africa.
Elder Gerrit W. Gong
December 8, Devotional
Elder Gerrit W. Gong currently serves as a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He previously served as a member of the Asia Area Presidency and member of the Presidency of the Seventy.
During his 20 years in Washington, D.C., he served as special assistant to the undersecretary of state at the U.S. State Department, as special assistant to the U.S. ambassador in Beijing, China, and in several positions at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, D.C. He was also assistant to the president for planning and assessment at BYU. Elder Gong holds a doctorate in international relations and a master’s degree in philosophy from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes scholar. He also holds a bachelor's degree in Asian and university studies from BYU.
