Paul Barton has been named the new director of residence life at Brigham Young University effective Aug. 1, 2019.

Residence Life supports BYU students in their on- and off-campus living experiences.
"Paul is a strong advocate of the student experience and skillfully leads his staff to create an environment where students can succeed," said Julie Franklin, BYU Student Life Vice President.
Prior to his appointment, Barton has worked in various roles in Residence Life since 1992, most recently as an Assistant Director.
He has a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from BYU.
