Young Ambassadors present "Circle of Life" Feb. 17-19 at BYU

Brigham Young University's Young Ambassadors presents "Circle of Life," a variety show featuring Broadway songs Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 17-19, at 7:30 p.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall.

A matinee performance will be shown Saturday, Feb. 19, at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $10 with $2 off with BYU or student ID. For tickets, call the Fine Arts Ticket Office at (801) 378-4322 or visit performances.byu.edu.

"Circle of Life" is a musical review celebrating selections from musical theater of the 20th and 21st centuries. Show numbers include such favorites as "Lida Rose" from "The Music Man" and "All I Ask of You" from "Phantom of the Opera."

The show will also feature a medley from "Fiddler on the Roof" and numbers from "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers," "Thoroughly Modern Millie," "Mary Poppins" and "Mamma Mia."

"Circle of Life" involves a four-member band and performing cast of 28 singers/dancers. The group is also supported by eight student technicians who give backstage support and control lighting and sound.

The Young Ambassadors will perform the "Circle of Life" program on tour in Colorado and New Mexico in March and Hong Kong and China in May. Last year the group toured and performed in Brazil and Argentina.
