Women’s Services and Resources offers free summer workshops

Women’s Services and Resources at Brigham Young University will host several free events during the spring and summer months.

  • A Healthy Eating Workshop series, designed to teach participants how to make healthy summer meals, will begin Thursday, May 18, at 11 a.m. in 1510 Wilkinson Student Center. The one-hour class will continue every Thursday until June 22.

  • A 5-K race against violence and pornography will take place Saturday, June 10, at 9 a.m., beginning in the Richards Building quad. Those interested can register in 1520 WSC. The first 200 applicants will receive a free T-shirt.

  • The support group, “Loved Ones of Men with Pornography Problems,” began meetings on Wednesday, May 10, and will hold meetings every Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m. in 1040 WSC.

  • Those interested in participating in the support group, “Fed Up with Food,” designed to help women overcome eating disorders and gain a better self-image, can call (801) 422-4877 for more information.
