The Utah Transit Authority (UTA) has announced that its Distance Based Fare beta-test that allowed BYU students and employees to ride for 50 cents a mile will end on Saturday, April 11.
Routes 832 and 835 will be discontinued. DBF Farepay cards will default to regular Farepay cards at that time and any outstanding balance may be used on any of UTA's transit services.
"The test has played an important part in UTA's exploration of this potential fare structure," according to UTA representative Stacey Adamson.
