U.S. Naval War College professor at BYU Dec. 4

Peter J. Dombrowski, associate professor at the U.S. Naval War College, will speak on the Brigham Young University campus Wednesday (Dec. 4) at noon in 238 Herald R. Clark Building as part of the International Forum Series.

Sponsored by the David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies, Dombrowski's lecture is titled, "Preemptive Strikes: the Temptation and the Peril."

Prior to his position in the Strategic Research Department at the U.S. Naval War College, Dombrowski taught political science at Iowa State University. In addition to a book published with an international relations theme, he has released scores of articles in a variety of journals.

Dombrowski is currently serving as coeditor of the journal "International Studies Quarterly." He holds a B.A. degree from Williams College and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Maryland.
