Turkish ambassador at BYU's Kennedy Center Nov. 13

His Excellency Osman Faruk Logoglu, Turkey's ambassador to the United States, will speak at Brigham Young University, Wednesday (Nov. 13) at noon in 238 Herald R. Clark Building.

Speaking as part of the International Forum Series sponsored by the David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies, Ambassador Logoglu will discuss relations between his country and the United States.

The Kennedy Center, founded in 1985, considers the International Forum Series an important priority because it affords members of the BYU community the opportunity to hear challenging lectures presented by distinguished scholars and dignitaries of international consequence.

Ambassador Logoglu was appointed in October 2001, after having held positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including undersecretary, deputy undersecretary of political affairs and deputy director general at the Department of Bilateral Political Affairs in Greece. He has also been an ambassador to Denmark and Azerbaijan. He has also served as counselor to the Turkish Permanent Delegation at the United Nations in New York.

A graduate of Brandeis University, Ambassador Logoglu also earned a doctorate in political development and leadership from Princeton University.

Admission is free. Please call (801) 422-2389 for more information.
