Survivor Date Night Sept. 14 at Museum of Peoples and Cultures

Brigham Young University’s Museum of Peoples and Cultures will host “Survivor,” its first date night of the school year Friday, Sept. 14, at 7 p.m. at the museum located at 100 E. 700 N. in Provo.

Tickets for the date night are $10 per couple and will be available at the WSC Information Desk beginning Sept. 10.

Couples are invited to kick off a new semester and show off their competitive side when faced with challenges that ancient peoples and cultures had faced.

Twelve couples will be divided into four tribes and compete in different activities to rack up the most points for their group. These challenges will push couples to search and scavenge, test their brains, and even stomach a difficult task. The tribe to receive the most points, and the individual couple with the most points, will win a special prize.

“Couples should be ready to play like a team,” said Debbie Smith, assistant in the museum's Education Department. “Teamwork is important whether it’s just with your date or with the team.”

After a night of challenge and rivalry, couples will enjoy light refreshments.

For more information, contact the museum at 801.422.0020.
